Wyoming does not report to EIA's residential price survey, so this page carries the Mont Belvieu wholesale benchmark instead, along with the PADD 4 and 5 regional inventory context and prices from the nearest surveyed states. For a current Wyoming retail quote, contact a local supplier directly.

Week of Aug 13, 2026

Wyoming is not part of EIA's weekly residential propane price survey, so no public weekly price series is available for the state.

About Wyoming propane

EIA does not run a weekly residential propane price survey in Wyoming, so there is no public weekly price series to report here. Its State Heating Oil and Propane Program covers 38 states during the October-March heating season; the states left out are mostly across the Pacific and parts of the South. That is a gap in the public survey, not a gap in the market: Wyoming homes still buy propane at prices set locally by delivered volume, tank arrangement, and the season.

The number this site can always show is the Mont Belvieu propane spot price, the national wholesale benchmark every US regional and delivered price is ultimately priced off of. Wyoming's own district, Rocky Mountain (PADD), does carry an EIA retail and wholesale price survey of its own, built from the other states EIA surveys there; see Rocky Mountain propane prices for that regional number, and Rockies and West Coast propane stocks for the inventory cushion behind it.

For an actual delivered number, a reader should get a quote from two or three local dealers (price varies with tank size, delivery volume, and whether it is a will-call or keep-full arrangement) and can watch the nearest surveyed states below as a directional reference.

Once a local quote is in hand, the propane usage calculator will estimate your fill cost from it: tank size, gauge reading and how much the household burns, with the price per gallon entered by hand rather than pulled from a survey that does not cover Wyoming.

Common questions

What is the current propane price in Wyoming?

There is no published Wyoming residential propane price. EIA's weekly survey covers 38 states and Wyoming is not one of them, so the closest published numbers are the Rocky Mountain regional survey on Rocky Mountain propane prices and the national wholesale benchmark, the Mont Belvieu spot price. Both are regional or wholesale references rather than a Wyoming delivered price: for that, get quotes from two or three local dealers.

Why is there no propane price for Wyoming?

EIA's State Heating Oil and Propane Program is a voluntary weekly telephone survey of retail dealers, run October through March in 38 states chosen for propane heating volume. Wyoming is outside that sample, which is a gap in the public survey rather than a gap in the market: Wyoming households still buy propane at prices set locally by delivered volume, tank arrangement and season.

How can I estimate a propane fill cost in Wyoming?

Get a price per gallon from a local dealer, then run it through the propane usage calculator: it turns tank size, gauge reading and household burn rate into a fill cost and an estimate of how long the tank should last.
